1. In cases that a cautious action is needed towards average attack of sulfates.
2. Because of hydration reaction in low speed in this type of cement less heat is produced. So this type of cement can be used in almost massive structures like large pillars of big bridges and heavy retaining walls.
3. Using this type of cement increases the temperature, this specialty is important in formwork in hot weather.
4. In addition to aforesaid cased in all the cases that Portland cement type 1 is applied I mean this type of cement can be used where a special cautious action is not considered.
