Due to the lack of facilities and technology required in Iran and the use of high carbon steels that did not withstand impact and cyclic loads, production of the A4 rebar was not possible. But today, with the creation of the Thermax system, they have been able to control the temperature and speed of cooling, and from low carbon steel ingot, they produce rebars with tread 520 and no longer have to worry about withstand loads and cyclical impacts.

Hence the ribbed rebar 500 and 520 are called A4 rebar. Isfahan Steel Company and Kavir kashan Steel Company and South Rouhina Steel Complex are currently the best A4 rebar manufacturers.

The appearance of the A4 rebar is transversely tread on either side of the long tread as a spiral or seven-eight. The price of the A4 rebar is slightly more expensive than the A2 and A3.
